About HCR
Located in the Texas Hill Country, Hill Country Reiners has been raising quarter horses since 2011. Our focus is in proven maternal bloodlines in all of our broodmares, as well as individual personality and conformation. Top industry sires from a variety of bloodlines are crossed with our mares to produce the next generation of talented reining horses.
Owner, Ellen Perkey, has been involved with raising foals since she was a teenager with a longtime interest in reining and the western performance industry. An Animal Science degree from Texas A&M coupled with years of experience working for vets prior to starting Hill Country Reiners has given her a great background to balance choosing genetics and raising foals in the best possible environment for success.
